Top 10 Illinois defensive players for 2024 HS football season
9. Gabriel Hill, Jr., Naperville North
Hill is an extremely talented interior defensive lineman and will be an exciting player to watch in the trenches in Illinois this season. As just a sophomore last fall, Hill had a breakout campaign at Naperville North as he produced 55 tackles, 18 tackles for loss, seven sacks, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. The 6-foot-2, 240-pound junior has good speed off the line of scrimmage and is incredibly powerful, making multiple big hits in the backfield last season. Hill鈥檚 stock continues to rise as one of Illinois鈥� top players overall in the Class of 2026 and the four-star recruit currently holds over a dozen Division I college offers from schools like Iowa, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Wisconsin.
