10. Charles Bass III, Sr., East St. Louis
Alongside standout outside linebacker Mekhi Mixon, Bass III will be a leader of the East St. Louis defense in 2024 as the Flyers look to get back to the IHSA Class 6A state championship game. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound safety was a key contributor for the 10-3 Flyers last season as he made 80 tackles while adding an interception, a sack and two fumble recoveries. That came following a 54-tackle campaign during the Flyers鈥� state championship-winning season in 2022. Bass III, who has also been a contributor offensively for East St. Louis during his prep career, has good range in the defensive backfield and is also a solid tackler, part of why he is rated as a . After receiving over two dozen Division I offers, Bass III committed to Missouri in July where he will soon join a program on the rise under Eliah Drinkwitz.
