Top 10 Illinois WRs/TEs for 2024 high school football season
3. Terrence Smith, Sr., West Aurora
Despite checking in at No. 3 on this list, Smith is a four-star recruit and a , a testament to how strong Illinois’ receiving group is this season. Smith has displayed his tremendous talent time and again at West Aurora as a quick receiver who can make things happen after the catch. Thanks to his 6-foot-3, 185-pound frame, Smith is also a red-zone threat and someone who can go up and make contested catches. Following a 600-yard sophomore campaign, the West Aurora standout vastly improved as a junior, making 59 receptions for 906 yards and 11 touchdowns. Smith’s numbers could be on the rise again this fall before he plays Big Ten football at Iowa, committing to the Hawkeyes in September over some other Power 4 schools like Minnesota, Purdue and Iowa State.
