10. Brendan Loftus, Sr., Loyola Academy
Loyola Academy went a perfect 14-0 last season en route to winning an IHSA Class 8A state championship. The Ramblers should be in the mix to repeat this fall as they return several key players including Iowa quarterback commit Ryan Fitzgerald and one of his key targets, standout tight end Loftus. Last season, Loftus made 19 receptions for 240 yards and flashed tantalizing upside thanks to his big 6-foot-7, 215-pound frame. Loftus can create matchup problems for opposing defenses due to his size and continues to get better each time he touches the field. That has been evidenced in his recruiting as well with Loftus receiving multiple Division I offers over the past several months. The skilled senior currently plans to take his talent to Miami (OH) after committing to the RedHawks in April.
