Top 10 Illinois RBs for 2024 high school football season
4. Tyler Lofton, Sr., Brother Rice
Lofton is one of several Division I college football commits on this list as he will follow in the footsteps of one of Illinois’ more recent running back success º£½ÇÉçÇø, James Robinson, at Illinois State, committing to the Redbirds in June while also holding an offer from UT Martin. Lofton will look to prove why he could be a future star in Normal with a strong senior campaign and already has begun 2024 on a high note with a three-touchdown effort in Brother Rice’s season-opener. Last year, Lofton was an all-state halfback while playing at Marian Catholic as he put up 1,163 yards and 17 touchdowns, earning conference player of the year and all-state honors. The explosive 5-foot-10, 210-pound standout should build on those numbers throughout the fall with his new team.
Great 47-0 win to end the regular season. Only had 3 rushes, but here is 1 of my 2 TDs for the night. Stats in 8 games played: 164 rushes 1,128 yds 17 total TDs. @CoachBigPete @Rivals_Clint
