7. Casey Etheridge, Jr., Princeton
A deep group of seniors makes up the majority of this list, but Etheridge is arguably the best junior tailback in Illinois and has put up some of the best numbers among all running backs in the state. Etheridge is a strong and physical athlete who also went to state for wrestling earlier this year following a junior season on the gridiron where he was a unanimous all-conference selection and was named an all-state performer as well. Overall, Etheridge ran for 1,897 yards in 2023 鈥� a Princeton single-season program record 鈥� while scoring 29 touchdowns and averaging 8.5 yards per carry. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound back has a high ceiling heading into his junior year and could start receiving more college interest with an encore performance in 2024.
