Top 10 Texas QBs for 2024 high school football season
5. Adam Schobel, Sr., Columbus
Schobel is one of several four-star quarterbacks taking the field in the Lone Star State this fall and has plenty of experience under his belt as a starter at Columbus since his freshman year. Schobel put up over 2,400 yards right off the bat in 2021 and has remained consistent while improving his accuracy as he reached a 72.8% completion rate in 2022. Last season, Schobel threw for 2,405 yards, 30 touchdowns and just four interceptions while leading the Cardinals to a 12-1 record. The big 6-foot-5, 190-pound senior has a powerful arm and is good at throwing on the move. He also has good bloodlines, as his father, Matt, and his uncle, Aaron, are both former TCU standouts and NFL players. Adam will follow their path to TCU next year, pledging to the Horned Frogs in July after previously being committed to Baylor and Oklahoma State.
