Top 10 Illinois QBs for 2024 high school football season
2. Jack Elliott, Sr., Mount Carmel
Mount Carmel has a rich football history that includes many star players. Elliott is looking to etch his name among those greats by the time his senior season is said and done and has already proven his potential for the Caravan. In 2023, Elliott steered Mount Carmel to its second consecutive state championship and its 15th state title in program history, throwing for 284 yards and two scores in the 7A championship game. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound standout threw for 3,184 yards and 34 touchdowns overall on the season while completing 68% of his passes, and continued to prove his dual-threat ability last fall with 940 yards rushing and seven more scores. Elliott and the Caravan will seek a three-peat in 2024 before he heads off to play SEC football at Vanderbilt, one of several Division I programs to offer Elliott over the past year.
