Top 10 Texas high school football players in Class of 2025
7. Kaliq Lockett, WR, Sachse
Lockett is one of several truly gifted wide receivers playing in Texas this fall and will keep his talents in-state going forward after committing to Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns in early August. Lockett will first put his talent on display one final time at Sachse High School where he has proven throughout his prep career to be a big play waiting to happen thanks to his speed and his ability to elevate over defenders. Lockett鈥檚 contested-catch ability stems from his 6-foot-2, 175-pound size and impressive 6-foot-7 wingspan. Last year, that helped him secure 59 receptions for 1,299 yards and 13 touchdowns while averaging 22 yards per reception in a true breakout campaign. Those numbers might only get better this fall as Lockett seemingly has unlimited potential going forward.
