Top 10 Texas high school football players in Class of 2025
8. Lance Jackson, DL, Pleasant Grove
Jackson is one of Texas’ most talented defensive linemen and has actually been a threat on both sides of the ball during his time at Pleasant Grove. In 2021, Jackson was named a MaxPreps Freshman All-American as a tight end and has continued to be a valuable pass catcher over the past two seasons for the Hawks. However, Jackson’s biggest contributions come on the defensive line where he put up 69 tackles, 7 ½ tackles for loss, three sacks and three forced fumbles last year for 12-1 Pleasant Grove. At 6-foot-5, 260 pounds, Jackson has a strong interior presence on the line but is also athletic enough to rush on the outside. His future is bright heading into his senior season and he will be one of several top in-state recruits to stay home with the Texas Longhorns next year.
