2. Mike Gundy, Oklahoma State
Between additions to the conference and new hires, there are a fair amount of fresh faces in the Big 12 this year, but Gundy remains a constant entering his 20th season as head coach at Oklahoma State. Gundy, a former quarterback for the Cowboys in the 1980s, was an assistant at his alma mater for several years before earning the head job. He has proven to be a model of consistency since as the Cowboys have had one losing season in his tenure which was back in his first year in 2005. Gundy is a three-time Big 12 Coach of the Year 鈥� earning the honor again in 2023 鈥� and won the Bear Bryant Award in 2011 while leading the Pokes to a Big 12 title and Fiesta Bowl victory. The 56-year-old鈥檚 resume speaks for itself and Oklahoma State enters 2024 as a conference favorite coming off a 10-win season.
