Ranking each Big Ten starting QB for the 2024 football season
8. Aidan Chiles, Michigan State
Michigan State is beginning a new era under head coach Jonathan Smith and will do so with a highly-touted young quarterback. Chiles was being groomed by Smith to take over as starting quarterback at Oregon State, but will now do so in East Lansing with a lot of upside going into his sophomore season. The 6-foot-3, 210-pound standout was a four-star recruit coming out of Downey High School in California and is a polished passer who is also a threat with his legs. The knock on Chiles right now is his lack of experience, but he did look the part in a few brief appearances in Corvallis last year as he threw for over 300 yards and four touchdowns while completing 69% of his passes. There could be growing pains, but Chiles has the upside to become one of the best quarterbacks in the Big Ten going forward.
