NiJaree Canady enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Nebraska Cornhuskers
Canady is from Topeka, Kansas, so a move to Lincoln, Nebraska would lead her closer to home than she has been the past two years in Stanford. While that could play a factor in her decision, the ultimate draw to Nebraska might be the opportunity to form one of the top pitching duos in all of college softball alongside Jordy Bahl. After two tremendous seasons at Oklahoma, Bahl transferred back to her home state to play for the Cornhuskers last offseason but appeared in just one game where she suffered an ACL injury that ended her season. Nebraska predictably struggled without Bahl in the rotation, but with a healthy return from her and an addition of Canady, the Huskers would become Big Ten favorites and could put Nebraska and the Big Ten as a whole back into the national conversation in college softball.
