10 most impactful players for the 2024 College World Series
Nick Lopez, IF, Kentucky
Lopez will not only have one of the best mustaches in Omaha, but he is also one of the top hitters in the College World Series field. Kentucky has won 45 games this season thanks to a lot of talented bats in its lineup, but Lopez has been the leader of the pack, hitting .350 with a .407 on-base percentage and a 0.960 OPS. Although he isn鈥檛 the biggest power hitter with just six home runs on the year, Lopez has consistently found success at the plate with a team-high 76 hits and 120 total bases. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound clean-up hitter has been somewhat up and down through five tournament games thus far, but Lopez finding a hot bat alongside Ryan Waldschmidt and Ryan Nicholson could lead the Wildcats on a special run.
