10 best hitters from the 2024 college softball season

Minnesota finished the regular season just 27-24, but the Golden Gophers have had one of college softball鈥檚 biggest breakout stars on their side with Oakland. The 5-foot-9 California native was already known after being named a first-team All-Big Ten performer last year, but she has been even better in her second year in Minneapolis, hitting .455 which is a top-five average in the nation. Oakland has produced 75 hits overall including 19 doubles. She has also hit 19 home runs to go along with 56 RBIs and a .915 slugging percentage, which also ranks in the top five in the country. The Big Ten Player of the Year has officially entrenched herself as one of the best at the plate in all of college softball and has a bright future ahead.
