Chaz Lanier enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Kentucky Wildcats
The 2023-24 season ended in disappointing fashion for Kentucky and plenty of change has ensued since. That began just a couple of weeks ago as John Calipari left the program for Arkansas, leading the Wildcats to hire Mark Pope. As expected, plenty of roster turnover has occurred as well, with several of Calipari鈥檚 former players following him to Fayetteville while many of Kentucky鈥檚 2024 commits have reopened their recruitment. With some of Kentucky鈥檚 other key contributors headed to the NBA, Pope has a tall task to rebuild the roster primarily through the portal. Lanier would be a terrific addition as Pope鈥檚 offense at BYU was predicated on shooting the 3-point shot, something he excels at. Playing at Kentucky would also mean a return close to home for Lanier while having the opportunity to boost his draft stock in the SEC.
