Zhuric Phelps enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

Phelps has played all of his high-level basketball in the Lone Star State so a move to one of Texas鈥� premier programs seems realistic. There is also a tie for Phelps to Texas A&M as Steve Roccaforte, who recruited Phelps coming out of high school while he was an assistant at East Carolina, is now on the Aggies鈥� coaching staff. Roccaforte and head coach Buzz Williams certainly could have interest in a player like Phelps as he could help improve the Aggies鈥� defense while replacing some of the scoring they will lose. The biggest departure this offseason for Texas A&M is fifth-year guard Tyrece Radford, someone who Phelps feels like a nice one-for-one replacement for. Phelps and Wade Taylor IV would form a nice starting backcourt tandem alongside younger players like Manny Obaseki heading into next season.
