Seth Trimble enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

Illinois would likely provide Trimble with an uptick in playing time right off the bat. The Fighting Illini are coming off a fantastic 2023-24 season where they got to the Elite Eight for the first time in nearly two decades. While Brad Underwood has turned Illinois into an annual Big Ten contender, he will have his work cut out for him next season as the Illini will lose several key pieces. That begins with leading scorer Terrence Shannon Jr., while 2023 transfer Marcus Domask, forward Quincy Guerrier and guard Justin Harmon are all out of eligibility as well. With Coleman Hawkins likely leaving and Dain Dainja transferring to Memphis, Underwood will probably need to add some portal pieces. Trimble could be an upside transfer to pair next to Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn in the backcourt and could provide a boost to Illinois’ defense.
