Jordan Pope enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for guard
Stanford
An Oakley, California native, Pope may be interested in returning to his home state for the remainder of his college career. Stanford is only an hour and a half away from Pope鈥檚 hometown and will need plenty of talent after losing many players to the transfer portal. New head coach Kyle Smith knows how to use the transfer portal to his advantage as evidenced by his past season at Washington State. Smith is familiar with Pope鈥檚 game and perhaps the proximity to home coupled with the Cardinal鈥檚 entrance into the ACC will be enough to convince the guard to join his program.
Pope would be able to stay at the high-major level while getting ample playing time at a school near his hometown. However, Stanford seems set for a rebuild and Pope may not want to have to deal with that after two years without postseason play with Oregon State.
