Pop Isaacs enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Baylor Bears
Scott Drew’s best teams at Baylor have featured strong depth in the backcourt, perhaps none more so than the Bears’ 2021 national championship squad. While Baylor was solid overall in 2023-24, the team seemed to lack a bit of depth. That could mean Drew looks to add some pieces through the portal to pair with a star-studded incoming recruiting class that includes five-star VJ Edgecombe and talented point guard Rob Wright. Wright could be the future of Baylor’s backcourt, but Isaacs would provide a more experienced option for next season who could also eventually work well in tandem with Wright. The Bears hit on a transfer point guard last offseason with RayJ Dennis, who is out of eligibility. Ja’Kobe Walter is also expected to leave for the NBA, so Isaacs could be a nice substitute for Baylor’s two leading scorers.
