Jason Edwards enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots
Georgia Bulldogs
Edwards is from Lilburn, Georgia just outside of Atlanta, and a chance to play close to home in Athens for one of the top Division I programs in his home state could be an opportunity that is hard to pass up. Georgia isn鈥檛 known as a basketball school and has only made the NCAA Tournament five times since 2000, with the last appearance coming in 2015. However, Mike White seems to have the program going in the right direction with solid improvement the last two seasons, including an NIT semifinals appearance in 2024. Georgia has been led by strong guard play this season and most of its backcourt should return in 2024-25, but the Bulldogs will lose leading scorer Noah Thomasson from that group. Adding a replacement point guard with similar scoring ability to Edwards could be at the forefront for White.
