BJ Freeman enters transfer portal: 5 possible landing spots

Freeman has during his short stay in the portal and he could be another nice piece for the Jayhawks to add to their rotation going forward. Bill Self made multiple portal moves last offseason headlined by the addition of Hunter Dickinson, but he also added some mid-major players like Nick Timberlake, among others. Landing Freeman probably falls in between, but it would add a bonafide scorer to a team that lacked depth throughout the postseason. An addition like Freeman is all the more important considering Kansas will lose leading scorer Kevin McCullar Jr., Timberlake, and potentially freshman Johnny Furphy who could declare for the NBA draft. Self has some tremendous incoming talent in the Class of 2024, but mixing in a veteran scorer like Freeman could be crucial for this roster.
