Otega Oweh enters transfer portal: 5 landing spots for guard

Oweh made three visits including one to Champaign to see the Illini program during his time in high school. Illinois will need some help through the portal as it will lose at least three of its top four scorers and could lose all four if Coleman Hawkins elects to stay in the NBA draft pool. Given the success the Illini have had in the portal in the past, including adding stars Terrence Shannon Jr. and Marcus Domask, expect them to be very active.
Oweh would not only get the chance to start right away at Illinois, but he would also be playing for a team fresh off of a deep NCAA Tournament run and with a familiar coaching staff that recruited him out of high school. If he wants to have both individual and team success, Oweh would be hard pressed to find a better option than the Illini.
