Meechie Johnson transferring: 5 possible landing spots

A return to the Big Ten seems very possible for Johnson and perhaps it could come in Bloomington with Indiana. Mike Woodson is likely to be in a make-or-break season in 2024-25 and will need to add some talent to the Hoosiers鈥� roster through the portal this offseason. Indiana鈥檚 backcourt struggled at times in 2023-24 and will lose a couple of pieces with Xavier Johnson out of eligibility and CJ Gunn in the transfer portal. Liam McNeeley, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2024, also recently decommitted from the Hoosiers, making a splash in the transfer portal even more important. Trey Galloway could return alongside Gabe Cupps next season, but adding a more explosive option at guard like Johnson to pair alongside talented wing Mackenzie Mgbako would be a win for the Hoosiers鈥� offense.
