Kyle Smith leaving; 5 Washington State head coach candidates
Niko Medved
The Colorado State head coach鈥檚 name has been included on many head coach candidate lists this offseason which shows just how desired he is in the basketball community. During his six years leading the Rams, Medved has gone 117-75 with two NCAA Tournament appearances and one NIT fourth-place finish. He has proven he can recruit and win at a high level in the region which should attract the Washington State administration.
However, would Medved consider joining the Cougars? Is the West Coast Conference a stronger league than the Mountain West Conference where the Rams already play? Would this move be considered an upgrade for the highly-touted head coach? Those are questions that would need to be answered for Medved as he will have plenty of offers and opportunities and may opt for one of those rather than one clouded with uncertainty.
