Top 10 Wisconsin HS baseball players in Class of 2024
2. Jack DeTienne, RHP, Verona Area
DeTienne has risen the Class of 2024 ranks quite a bit over the past year and checks in as the top pitcher in the Badger State鈥檚 senior class. The 6-foot-3, 175-pound right-hander鈥檚 emergence began last spring as DeTienne went 3-1 for Verona Area High School in the regular season, striking out 32 batters across 27 innings pitched. DeTienne went on to shine on the national stage during the summer and fall, first impressing at the Area Code Games where his fastball touched 96 mph. He continued to showcase a fastball in the low to mid-90s at the Prep Baseball Report All-American game in Milwaukee in September in addition to a strong breaking ball. The Xavier commit also has a nice swing at the plate, but it鈥檚 his arm that could make him an MLB draft pick this summer.
