Top 10 players from the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament
3. Baylor Scheierman, G, Creighton
Creighton has an incredibly talented core that includes 7-foot-2 center Ryan Kalkbrenner and star guard Trey Alexander, but it鈥檚 Scheierman who leads the way. Following three standout seasons at South Dakota State, Scheierman was solid overall last year at Creighton, but has taken his game to another level this year which has helped the Bluejays to a 23-9 record and a No. 3 seed in the Midwest Region. On the year, the 6-foot-7 guard is averaging 18.4 points, nine rebounds and four assists. He is one of the tournament鈥檚 most lethal deep threats and shoots it at 37.2% from 3-point range. Scheierman鈥檚 size can also create matchup problems for opposing defenses. The All-Big East first-team member has an uncanny ability to create his own shot and his scoring prowess could ultimately lead Creighton on a nice run.
