Top 10 players from the Midwest Region of the NCAA Tournament
9. Shahada Wells, G, McNeese
McNeese has gone 30-3 under Will Wade this season and is a dangerous team that nobody wants to face in the NCAA Tournament. The Cowboys are led by strong guard play, particularly from Wells. The former TCU point guard has been the perfect leader for Wade鈥檚 offense, doing a little bit of everything as he averages 17.8 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists while shooting 47.5% from the field. While he doesn鈥檛 attempt a lot of 3-point shots, Wells is still highly efficient from deep, shooting at a 40% clip. What separates the 6-foot guard from many is his defensive prowess as he grabs three steals per contest and is able to pressure opposing point guards without fouling. The senior should be one of the most entertaining guards to watch in the region.
