Amari Williams transferring; 5 landing spots for forward
4. Michigan Wolverines
The Wolverines are experiencing a down season this year, currently sitting at 8-23 overall. However, Michigan is only a few years removed from deep NCAA Tournament runs under head coach Juwan Howard. After losing center Hunter Dickinson to Kansas last year, the Wolverines struggled to replace him in the lineup and will now see two of its forwards, Tray Jackson and Olivier Nkamhoua, graduate.
Getting a strong presence in the frontcourt will be high on Michigan’s priority list and Williams would certainly fit the bill. Howard has had a knack for getting his players to the NBA which should attract Williams and the fact the head coach played in the low post will likely be a feather in the Wolverines’ cap. If Williams feels Michigan’s season is just a blip on the radar, he could be the difference making big the team has been missing.
