Top 10 Utah high school baseball players in Class of 2024
5. Naulivou Lauaki Jr., RHP, Springville
Lauaki has an imposing figure 鈥 standing at 6-foot-4 and 255 pounds 鈥 and the skill set to match.
Prep Baseball Utah regards him as a preseason Player of the Year candidate, thanks in part to the fact that the Oregon commit has the second-highest exit velocity (109.3 miles per hour) in the nation.
Swinging the bat for Springville High School as a junior, Lauaki recorded a team-high .586 batting average with 29 RBIs and nine homers. He also pitched the second-most innings (35.2) of any Red Devil. During that time, he put up a 2.94 ERA and a 3-1 record on the mound.
