10 most impactful players for NCAA women鈥檚 basketball tournament
3. JuJu Watkins, G, USC
Clark has been the face of women鈥檚 college basketball over the last couple of years, but as she heads off to the WNBA, that torch might be passed on to Watkins who has had one of the best freshman seasons the sport has seen at USC. Watkins has played 34 minutes per game for the Trojans, averaging 27.4 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 41.5% from the field and 33.5% from deep. The 6-foot-2 guard from Los Angeles impressively put up 32 points in her collegiate debut, one of 12 games where she has scored 30 or more. In February, Watkins had a 51-point game which was a program record and the second-most points scored in a Pac-12 contest. Watkins has helped the Trojans become a top-10 team and her ability to score makes anything possible for the team in March.
