Top 10 Washington HS baseball players in Class of 2024
5. Jace Hampson, SS, Lynnwood
Hampson is a talented all-around shortstop who is a plus defender with a strong arm and a good hitter from the left side of the plate, and another big season is likely in store for him in his senior year at Lynnwood. As just a sophomore, Hampson hit .426 with a .557 on-base percentage while stealing 15 bases. His junior year was even better as the 6-foot-1, 175-pound infielder racked up seven doubles, 19 runs and had a .564 slugging percentage. Hampson had a nice summer playing for Elevate Northwest as well and should carry that momentum over to his senior year before heading south to play college baseball at Oregon.
‘24 SS Jace Hampson (WA) goes big fly pull-side at Marietta HS last night. Whippy and balanced stroke, present bat speed with good feel for lifting the ball. Oregon commit. @B_Sakowski_PG
