8. Logan Sandoval, RHP, Ruidoso
Sandoval is a pitcher who has no trouble bringing the lumber himself.
As a junior at Ruidoso High School, he took part in 23 contests, putting up a 2.09 ERA in 47 innings on the mound 鈥� adding 67 Ks 鈥� and went .500 at the dish for the state runner-ups. He notched 28 RBIs and 17 extra-base hits, including three long bombs. He also swiped 19 bases without being thrown out once.
In the semifinals of the Class 3A state tournament against East Mountain, Sandoval went 3-for-4 with an inside-the-park homer and five RBIs, including a walk-off double. He’s looking for a college home at the moment.
