Top 10 Louisiana HS baseball players in Class of 2024
8. Trip Dobson, 3B, Catholic
Dobson is a terrific two-way player who can impact the game at the plate and on the mound. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound standout thrived in primarily a reliever role as a pitcher for a Catholic team that made it to the state semifinals last year, but he was even better as a hitter with a .340 batting average, four home runs, 27 RBIs and 30 runs. Dobson went on to have a strong summer with Knights Knation as well and will be a vital part of what should be a talented Catholic squad in 2024 that also features LSU commits William Schmidt and Grant Breaux, as well as Louisiana-Lafayette commit Brooks Wright. After that, Dobson plans to play his college baseball at Houston.
