Top 10 California HS baseball players in Class of 2024
5. Ethan Schiefelbein, LHP, Corona
Corona is poised for a successful 2024 season thanks to several Division I commits, particularly within its talented pitching staff that features TCU commit Sam Burgess and Vanderbilt pledge Seth Hernandez. However, the best of the bunch right now might be Schiefelbein. While he also contributed at the plate, Schiefelbein was dominant on the mound for the Panthers last year, going 7-1 with a 0.64 ERA and 94 strikeouts in 55 innings while leading Corona to the CIF-SS Division I semifinals. The UCLA commit is also one of a few players on this list who got to compete in the WBSC U-18 World Cup with USA Baseball and put together an eight-strikeout outing in the event. The 6-foot-2 southpaw keeps getting better and seems MLB-bound sooner than later.
