Top 10 California HS baseball players in Class of 2024
7. Braylon Doughty, RHP, Chaparral
Doughty is an incredibly talented player and is one of many on this list who could be an early-round MLB draft pick this summer. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound pitcher’s breakout came at this past summer’s Area Code Games where he showed tremendous stuff on the mound including a fastball that reaches 96 mph. That followed a strong season at Chaparral High School where Doughty had an ERA around 1.60 while striking out nearly 125 batters. Doughty was also solid at the plate with a couple of home runs and a batting average of around .450. He continues to be one of the fastest-rising prospects in the Golden State and will head off to play at Oklahoma State next season if he waits to pursue an MLB career.Â
Pure. Dominant. Stuff.
Braylon Doughty created a buzz with his performance and attention-grabbing stuff at Upperclass . Big heater. Plus breaker. Elite spin (3169 RPM slider). Easy strikes.
