Ranking the Pac-12’s best basketball players at midway point
5. Boogie Ellis, G, USC
Ellis’ freshman teammate Isaiah Collier is certainly one of the Pac-12’s most talented players as well, but it’s hard to argue against Ellis being USC’s best all-around player despite the Trojans’ sluggish season. Despite missing some time due to injury recently, Ellis’ 18.1 points per contest still leads the Trojans and is a top-five mark in the league. The talented 6-foot-3 guard also averages 4.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists, and he is shooting 45.3% from 3-point range which is the seventh highest percentage in the country. Ellis was recently , given annually to the nation’s best shooting guard, and could win the honor with a strong finish to the season as he remains one of the top scoring threats in the Pac-12.
