Ranking the top 10 college football coaching hires
10. Bronco Mendenhall, New Mexico
Mendenhall led the University of Virginia to an Orange Bowl appearance in 2019 but then surprised many when he stepped down two years later. Prior to his six years in Charlottesville, he spent a decade at BYU where he racked up 99 wins. The 57-year-old brings plenty of experience to Albuquerque and he is a good candidate to turn around a program that has not been to a bowl game since 2016.
Bronco Mendenhall once spent an entire practice his first year at UVA on *171* attempts of a drill to try to get his players to take the field with maximum effort and I would now very much like to work for Coach Mendenhall 馃槀
