Jonah Coleman enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB

Playing in the SEC may be an intriguing opportunity for Coleman and he could have a chance to do so with Tennessee. Josh Heupel and his staff pursued Coleman while he was playing at Lincoln High School in Stockton, California and were the only SEC team, as well as one of the few Power 5 teams, to extend an offer to the talented running back. The Volunteers will return emerging star Dylan Sampson to their backfield in 2024 but have lost leading rusher Jaylen Wright and dynamic back Jabari Small to the NFL. Coleman could step in and form a nice tandem with Sampson for the Vols in what could be more of a run-oriented offense under Heupel with new quarterback Nico Iamaleava taking over under center next season.
