Jonah Coleman enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB
5. Michigan State
Michigan State has had a lot of turnover since the end of its season as the program enters a new era under Jonathan Smith. Before arriving in East Lansing, Smith spent six seasons as head coach at Oregon State and extended an offer to Coleman out of high school during his time in Corvallis, making it possible he pursues the running back again in the transfer portal. The Spartans got a nice season from sophomore back Nathan Carter in 2023 who is expected to be back next season. However, no other running back reached 100 yards on the year, so Michigan State could use another playmaker at the position. Coleman would certainly bring that and could work in tandem with Carter to provide a nice backfield duo going forward for Smith.
