8. Butler
The Bulldogs had a miserable 6-14 record in conference play a season ago and are looking to turn the tides under second-year head coach and Butler legend Thad Matta. They handled Georgetown easily in their first conference matchup but fell to tougher opponents in the next two games. Before conference play, the Bulldogs rattled off a six-game win streak which could be a sign of better things to come. Senior transfer D.J. Davis looks to be one of the most important pieces on the team early on as he led his squad to big victories over Texas Tech and Boise State.
