9. Xavier
The Musketeers fell to St. John鈥檚 and Villanova but beat the brakes off of Seton Hall to begin conference play. Sophomore guard Desmond Claude is scoring over 15 points a game in about 33 minutes and projects to be a late first or second-round draft pick if he declares for the NBA after the season. Xavier is unlikely to match last year鈥檚 conference record of 15-5 but could rise in the Big East rankings with more conference wins against quality opponents.
