Tate Rodemaker transferring; 5 landing spots for quarterback
2. Nebraska
Cornhuskers’ head coach Matt Rhule was the head coach at Baylor when they were pursuing Rodemaker out of high school and they came very close to landing the quarterback. Now, Rhule is back at the collegiate level after a hiatus in the NFL and is looking for a signal caller.
While Rhule was able to make one of the biggest splashes of the offseason, flipping Class of 2024 No. 1 quarterback Dylan Riola to the Cornhuskers, the team may want him to take a redshirt or develop before throwing him into the fire. This is where Rodemaker could fit in. Given Rodemaker鈥檚 familiarity with Rhule and the potential to start Day 1, it may be enough to entice the quarterback to Lincoln to serve as a mentor to the team鈥檚 future signal caller.
