Rashad Amos enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for RB
2. NebraskaÂ
Nebraska has upside in its backfield with young players like Emmett Johnson and Gabe Ervin Jr. However, the team was dealt a blow recently as veteran rusher Anthony Grant declared for the NFL draft. While the Huskers still have options at the position, Matt Rhule may look to add a veteran presence to his running back room which Amos could certainly provide. No Nebraska running back ran for more than 413 yards in 2023, so it’s possible Amos could get a big share of the workload right away. The Huskers also seem to be building something special after recently flipping five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola from Georgia to Lincoln, something that could be enticing for a transfer like Amos. Marcus Satterfield, Amos’ offensive coordinator at South Carolina, is currently a part of Nebraska’s coaching staff under Rhule as well.
