10. Texas Tech Red Raiders
Texas Tech has started off quite well in Grant McCasland鈥檚 first season in Lubbock with eight wins 鈥� one of which came against Michigan 鈥� and just two losses to Big East teams: Villanova and Butler. Big 12 play will be a different animal, but Texas Tech could push for an NCAA Tournament spot come March. That may ultimately depend on how its multiple transfers like Joe Toussaint 鈥� who leads the team with 14.4 points per game 鈥� Warren Washington and Chance McMillan gel together alongside holdover Pop Isaacs. The Red Raiders may be a year or two away from really competing in the Big 12 under McCasland, but their veteran roster will make them competitive during the conference season.
