Robby Ashford enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for QB
2. Boise State
When Ashford originally transferred from Oregon to Auburn, he was recruited by former Tigers head coach Bryan Harsin. Before Harsin made his way to the Tigers, he spent six seasons as the head coach of the Broncos. One of his assistant coaches at the time, Spencer Danielson, was recently named the Boise State head coach and his team is in dire need of a quarterback after losing Taylen Green to Arkansas.
While Maddux Madsen proved he could play well during a few games as a starter this past season, Danielson would likely want to add some competition at the position. Ashford could fit that mold as he has a similar skillset to Green鈥檚 while also bringing in SEC experience. With his former head coach still living down the road, perhaps Ashford would be interested in joining one of Harsin鈥檚 former assistants fresh off of a Mountain West championship.
