Ty Thompson transferring; 5 landing spots for signal caller
2. NC State
The Wolfpack were interested in Thompson out of high school, offering the five-star signal caller a scholarship. NC State head coach Dave Doeren is still leading the program and his team needs a quarterback after starter Brennan Armstrong exhausted his eligibility and backup MJ Morris entered the portal.
This move would allow Thompson to stay in the Power 5 while also giving him a chance to immediately play for a well-constructed team despite the lack of success from the quarterback position. Last season, the Wolfpack finished No. 100 in the country in passing offense, yet still went an impressive 9-3. By adding Thompson and his skill set, NC State could have an even better season next year.
