Will Rogers enters transfer portal; 5 landing spots for QB
STARKVILLE, Miss. (BVM) – Following the Mississippi State Bulldogs’ home loss to rival Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl on Thursday night, Bulldogs senior quarterback Will Rogers announced his entrance into the transfer portal on Friday.Â
The fourth-year senior has had a standout career at Mississippi State, throwing for 12,108 passing yards and 94 passing touchdowns in 42 games with 39 starts. He holds the Southeastern Conference record for completions in both a season and a career with 505 and 1,264 respectively while his career passing touchdowns and passing yards rank fourth and third respectively in SEC history.

Rogers’ best seasons came in 2021 and 2022 under former head coach Mike Leach when he topped 3,900 yards and 35 touchdowns in each season. However, things fell off this season for the quarterback without the late head coach’s mentorship as he threw for just 1,626 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Given his success in Leach’s Air Raid offense, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Rogers try to join a program with a similar offensive philosophy. With his strong history of success in college football’s most difficult conference, signal caller will likely attract many suitors in the transfer portal. Here are five possible destinations for Rogers.
