Ranking college football’s top 10 transfers so far in 2023
3. Ray Davis, RB, Kentucky
Davis made an interconference jump in the SEC from Vanderbilt to Kentucky and the move has worked out for both himself and the Wildcats as the has been spectacular. Kentucky is 5-1 with their lone loss coming to No. 1 Georgia and Davis is a key reason for the team’s early success.
This season, Davis has rushed for 653 yards and eight rushing touchdowns, which are tied for ninth and third respectively. His 835 all-purpose yards rank No. 11 in the nation as well while his 7.18 yards per carry rank tenth. Expect the Wildcats to continue their strong season with Davis being the bellcow of the team’s offensive success.
