Top 10 Pennsylvania defensive players for 2023 HS football season
3. Anthony Sacca, Jr., St. Joseph’s Prep
Sacca is one of several elite defensive talents in Pennsylvania’s Class of 2025 as he is ranked . Sacca lived up to those rankings with St. Joseph’s Prep last season, making nearly 50 tackles while intercepting one pass and forcing a fumble as the Hawks won a Class 6A state title. Playing alongside some elite talent on the defensive side of the ball like Omillio Agard, Maxwell Roy and several others, Sacca will make the transition from safety to linebacker in 2023 as the Hawks aim for another state title. The son of former Penn State quarterback Tony Sacca and nephew of former Rutgers signal caller Ralph Sacca, Anthony has a college football future of his own, currently holding offers from the likes of Georgia, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Penn State, among others.
